Today was the day of the race and it sucked. It sucked because I didn't beat my time and its not because I cramped up. I felt great going into the race and I ran the first mile straight through. But a little after that mile I started having shin splints. Wow it hurt so bad. I was able to finish the race but with a bad bad time. I am going to ask my mentor how I can prevent shin splints and hopefully he knows something that can help me.

Its the Wednesday before Ryan's race. I am going to train today and rest the next couple of days and try to stretch out before the race day. This race should be interesting to see how I did from last race to this one.

Today was ok. I feel very tired for some reason but its a Sunday. Tomorrow I have school and soccer so I hope I will be ready for that. I need to eat better then I did today. We went to eat at my Grandmas' so it was very good but not good for me.

The race is getting closer and closer. I am training harder and harder more than ever. I have been drinking ecodrink and energy shakes which is good for you. I will be ready for the race.

My next race is coming up soon and I have just started drinking this drink called ecodrink. This drink helps cramps and has tons of vitamins. This is going to help me much in the up coming weeks.

These last couple of games have been great! I've been running and working out everyday. I just need to keep it up. I have been eating right also. This week has been great so far and I plan for it to be great the rest of the week also.

Its a Monday and I fell awful. I still need to run and eat correctly though. Tomorrow I am going to do the best a can to do this. Tomorrow will be a great day.

Week after 10k race

This last week has been very good. I have been so busy that it is very hard to blog every day about what I've done. Last Saturday a ran my first 10k! It was good to get it done. I ran/walked it. During the race my calf started hurting, it was cramping up and also had shin splints. I got through it and have my first 5k this week. It is going to be a great race, I hope to do well in it and drink and eat stuff before, during, and after the race to  replenish everything my body needs.

 I feel like its been so much longer then it actually has. Only about a month until I am done with the project! Just gonna keep on pushing on and try to run faster and harder then I normally do.

Today was the day of the race. My calves cramped up a lot during the race which slowed down my time. I ate a banana before the race and it didn't help. I need to contact my mentor and ask him what I should do. I'm very tired 6.2 miles does that to you.
